Ing. Petr Papoušek
(narozen 21. 3. 1977 v Olomouci)
Předseda Židovské obce Olomouc
Vystudoval Vysokou školu báňskou Technickou univerzitu Ostrava – ekonomickou fakultu, obor Národní hospodářství. Během vysokoškolských studií strávil rok na Hebrejské univerzitě v Jeruzalémě, později studoval rok na Evropském institutu pro židovská studia Paideia ve Stockholmu. Od roku 2004 pracuje v Židovské obci Olomouc, jejímž je předsedou. Podílí se na rozvoji aktivit židovské obce směrem k veřejnosti a od roku 2011 organizuje v Olomouci pokládání kamenů Stolpersteine, které přispívají k rozvoji povědomí o historii Olomouce. V roce 2017 se také díky jeho úsilí vrátil do města historický pergamenový svitek Tóry z roku 1880, který byl naposled použit při bohoslužbě v zaniklé olomoucké synagoze před téměř 80 lety. Dlouhodobě spolupracuje na festivalu Dny židovské kultury Olomouc, který je nedílnou součástí místního kulturního dění.
Od roku 2012 vykonává funkci předsedy Federace židovských obcí v ČR, kterou zastupuje v řadě mezinárodních židovských organizací. V roce 2017 byl opětovně zvolen místopředsedou Světového židovského kongresu, kde ve výkonném výboru zastupuje malé komunity. Ve funkci se soustředí především na budoucnost židovské komunity, opravu památek a církevní restituce.
Cenu primátora obdržel za aktivní přínos k rozvoji občanské společnosti, humanity, demokracie a posilování prestiže města.
